Every beginner starts with an instructed Have-a-Go: a small group, a professional coach, 25 clays. No membership needed.
Membership is £40 a year. It unlocks open practice, competitions, free socials and discounts at the grounds.
Come to open practice as often as you like, try out for the team, and represent Oxford against Cambridge.
Sessions
Both sessions include club guns, cartridges, protective kit and transport from Iffley Road. Anyone affiliated with the University can come.
Start here
For complete beginners, and for anyone who's only shot a handful of times. A professional instructor takes you through gun handling, safety, eye dominance and how to read a moving target.
Members
For shooters who've done at least one Have-a-Go or have real shotgun experience. No formal coaching, though experienced members often help out. Sessions run 2 to 4 hours.
*Experienced shots can come to one practice before joining. Rifle or pistol experience doesn't count: shotgun is a different discipline.
All sessions are booked on the members' platform under the OUCPSC tab. Use your college or departmental email, and pay when you book.
Term Card
Full Term runs Sun 11 October to Sat 5 December. All sessions leave from the Iffley Road Sports Centre car park. More dates coming soon.

Membership is needed for everything except Have-a-Gos and the Freshers' social.

Before you come
It's a mandatory safety rule. Ground staff will turn you away without one.
Proper footwear and a warm waterproof. We shoot rain or shine.
Sessions run to the minute, and transport leaves without latecomers.
No refunds for no-shows or cancellations with under 72 hours' notice.
Bookings are for the named person only and can't be swapped.

Find us
Every session leaves from the Iffley Road Sports Centre car park. Drivers come in via Jackdaw Lane. On foot or by bike, use the pedestrian entrance off Iffley Road and walk round to the car park behind the main building. We email exact timings before each session.
Our home ground is the Oxfordshire Shooting School. We sometimes shoot at Barbury and E.J. Churchill too. Driving yourself? Let us know. If you have a car and can give other members a lift, we may refund your petrol.
